Mignoni will miss All Blacks clash

France scrum-half Pierre Mignoni has been ruled out of the hosts’ World Cup quarter-final against New Zealand in Cardiff on Saturday because of a torn right thigh muscle.

Mignoni was substituted in the first half of France’s 64-7 win over Georgia in their final Pool D match in Marseille on Sunday.   

‘He will have to rest for ten days,’ France team doctor Thierry Hermerel told reporters. ‘He’s staying with us for treatment and will undergo more tests next Monday.’
