In our days there are no more than just few people, who have no idea about poker or online slot but there are some people who know for sure how it originally emerged, together with the dominate theory of where poker emerged from the state of non-existence, nevertheless each and every one think that modern poker evolved from different card games, in all of them there is a precise hierarchy of hands and “bluffing” is a suitable talent, that a man must have to trick his opponents and succeed.
A widespread belief describes how the Chinese Monarch, Mu-Tsung, made a game that was very much similar to poker in 970 A.D., as reported, it has been played using “domino cards”. Another theory says that Egyptians were playing this game in the 12th and 13th century. It was very much like poker in the hand placing, unluckily not much records of this game had survived to tell historians the the full story. In the 16th century a game that is known as “Treasure Cards” or “Ganjifa” was played in Persia, it is also allegedly one of poker’s forerunners, a more comparable Persian variant of this game is “As Nas”, a game that required 25 cards and used hand positions and betting rounds.
“Primero” is a Spanish game originally emerged in the 16th Century, it is said to be the “father” of today’s poker and a remote relative of “Primo Visto”, which is another popular card game. Both of these were mentioned in the book written by John Taylor – “Taylor’s Motto” dated 1621. Primero used three cards for playing and rounds of betting were taking place, the fundamental part of the game in question was to deceive opponents by showing smaller cards. Records of this game had been found both in Italy and Spain, and while Primero was played as early as in 1526, evidence of Primo Visto appeared only in half a century, thus showing the possibility that the two games were in fact the equivalent game.
The game Primero became loved by both Germans and French in 17th and 18th centuries. French colonialists brought the game to America under the name “Poque” (”Pochen” in German). Poque actually became a national game in France in the middle of 18th century, and the French settlers that lived in New Orleans are to be “blamed” for the first access of this game to the North America. From New Orleans the game went up the Mississippi River and in the late 18th century the game was popular all over the State of Louisiana.
Jonathan H. Green said some words about the “Cheating Game” in 1834 and it is thought to be the first mentioning of poker in literature. Poker was played on the Mississippi river ships, and it took the place of the three-card game, which was played by many people in Europe around that time, which was known to be a “rigged” game. Green’s book was “An Exposure of the Arts and Miseries of Gambling”, the first formal book about gambling in the world, the book gives a total review of the whole set of rules of the “Cheating Game”. Soon after 1875, the game became very popular in the fallow land. During the time of the Wild West there wasn’t a saloon or a bar without tables of poker. The game spread throughout all of the US decade after decade, and by the middle of 20th century the game became an official kind of sport, recognized by all.
